WORDS WITH AN ATOMICC MAN
An interview with Gautam Seth, Founder of Atomicc Code.
Is there a code for life?
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been trying to decipher the journey of life, or what we can call a ‘code.’ We all know that we’re made up of atoms, but few explore life at this level. ‘Atomicc Code’ takes this theory to a spiritual and emotional level.
Atomicc Code is a set of products that combines the best of spirituality, design, and wellness practices. What made you start this brand, now?
Firstly, many wellness products in the market are diluted versions of Eastern formulations. These are often sold back to the people in the places that the formulations are inspired by or taken from. Atomicc Code seeks to correct this by making pure, effective products available to those interested in improving their mental and spiritual health, all over the world.
Secondly: I’ve been observing the copy-paste mode of the world, a model that does not really lend itself to peace and happiness for most people. I decided to see what would happen if I started redefining some things around me. The journey began with trying to find a new way of living. I started looking inwards. I started looking back at ‘ancient knowledge’ and Eastern philosophies and realized their relevance to modern life. The culmination of these experiences is this brand.
If you had to define Atomicc Code in three words, what would they be?
Comfort, luxury, and freedom.
I know I can’t change people, or the world, but I know I can provide people with a set of tools that will enable them to live a healthier spiritual life. Atomicc Code is a catalyst.
Can you say more about your thoughts on purity? Whether it's about the purity in your formulations or a purity of thought.
The world is already saturated with adulterated product and thought. I knew if I had to create something, it had to be as pure as possible: in intention, and in thought.
There is of course, a cost to this. Using diluted ingredients can make the formulations more accessible. But I decided to stick to purity and choose effectiveness. For this reason, we also work with the best growers and manufacturers in India. All our partners are certified, and our research and development process has been a collaboration over years.
Is achieving inner peace the goal of a spiritual practice?
When do you know you’ve achieved it? The goal, as I see it, is to achieve harmony between your inner self and the outside world, between man and environment. In moments when we have inner peace, we often find peace in doing nothing. There is no action or reaction. You’ll find you can travel to a place without moving. You’ll find that you’re very close to yourself.
Favourite AC products?
Hard to pick just a few, but I love the protection spray. It helps me focus when I’m surrounded by lots of different energies. I love using our incense and loban – it's not just great for mosquitos and viruses, it's also a catalyst for meditation.
How do you define yourself?
I’m a chemical engineer, designer, certified healer, and seeker. I like a good laugh as much as a moment of peace.
